III Turó de Gardeny Day

A day to experience history, culture and festivities in the Templar heart of Lleida

On April 12, 2025, Turó de Gardeny will once again be filled with life with the celebration of the III Diada del Turó de Gardeny, a unique day that fuses heritage, dissemination and activities for all audiences in an incomparable historical environment.

Organized by the Castell de Gardeny Cultural Association, the day offers an opportunity to get to know and enjoy the monumental complex of the old Templar order of Gardeny, one of the best examples of Templar architecture in Catalonia. Throughout the day, visitors will be able to participate in a wide range of cultural and recreational activities: historical recreations of the Templars and the Civil War, children’s workshops, market of local products, crafts, exhibitions, parades, live music and much more.

The castle will open its doors with free access to invite everyone to discover spaces such as the tower-room, the Church of Santa Maria and the parade ground, through a tour full of surprises and medieval atmosphere. The two outstanding exhibitions – one of painting, photography and poetry and the other of the history of Turó de Gardeny – will offer an artistic and documentary look at the memory of the hill and the Templar presence in the city.

With this third edition, the day consolidates its character as a meeting point between heritage, culture and citizen participation, and makes Lleida’s link with one of its most emblematic spaces grow.
